John Pavlik, President
MCSE, CSSA, CCEA
John started Resource One in 1997. Having more than seven years experience working in-house for various Portland-based businesses, he decided the time was right to launch a professional, highly responsive, consulting firm that remains to this day a leader in network solutions. With more than 30 product certifications including Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer status, John and his staff at ROI are always up to date and current on products and services in an ever changing industry. He is active in his local area and knows the importance of a strong, community relationship. John adheres to the principles of creating a true partnership with his clients and makes that the priority that all of ROI strive to achieve.
Rolph Fargo, Director of Technical Services
MCSE, CSSA, HP Master ASE
Rolph started in the industry in 1985 when he joined the U.S. Navy and worked on mainframe computers and peripherals. After the Navy, Rolph worked several years on Novell networks starting with Netware 2.15 up to Netware 4.x before moving on to Microsoft Windows. His first certification was on Windows NT 3.50. Rolph currently holds the following certifications, MCSE Windows Server 2003, SonicWALL CSSA and HP Master ASE. Prior to coming to Resource One in 2000, Rolph was top producing consultant for several years with IKON Office Solutions – Technology Services of Portland. His personal interests include golf and riding motorcycles.
J.J. Lynch, Senior Consultant
MCSE, CSSA
Before coming to Resource One, Inc. in 2001, J.J. was the webmaster and computer specialist for the YMCA of Columbia-Willamette. He administered and supported over 160 computers in what could be described as a Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) stretching from Sherwood, OR to Vancouver, WA. Since becoming a vital part of the Resource One Team, J.J. has gone on to become a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer earning him the honors of “Early Achiever” from Microsoft and has also become a Certified SonicWALL Security Administrator.
Bob Wilson, Technician
A+ Certified
If it runs on electricity, Bob can fix it. A Resource One HP printer that necessitated multiple visits from an HP engineer was fixed permanently by Bob in less than three minutes. He is now an employee of ROI. His claim to fame is that he “worked on computers before DOS was invented”! Bob served as an Aviation Electronics Technician in the US Navy and is an avid hunter.
Dan Lago, Senior Consultant
MCSE, CSSA, CCA
Dan earned his BS in Computer Engineering from California State University, Chico in 1997 and spent six years as an ASIC design engineer in the Silicon Valley. He has worked on chips for companies such as Cisco, Silicon Graphics, and Intel. Dan has been with Resource One for over five years designing and implementing networks and holds certifications from Microsoft, SonicWALL, and Citrix. He is currently pursuing his MBA, and in his spare time you might find him flying aerobatics, SCUBA diving or building period furniture.
Karel Kerezman, Help Desk Support
VMware VTSP
A Pacific Northwest native, Karel has been instrumental in making Resource One’s support desk services a huge success! With a 14 year history of being a one-man-show IT department for some of Portland’s most popular radios stations, Karel is diverse in his knowledge of IT. In addition, he has authored a novel and is raising two teenagers! If anybody knows how to juggle support and keep his head on, it’s Karel.
Daniel Croft, Consultant
MCP, CSSA
Having worked in a number of different industries, Daniel brings a very diverse background to the company. His time at Bally Gaming and Systems in Las Vegas and U.S. Online in Portland gave him in-depth knowledge of security protocols and Wide-Area Networks, which he uses to help keep our clients’ systems communicating securely around the world. Daniel is a Microsoft Certified Specialist for Small Business Server 2003 and a Certified SonicWALL Systems Administrator.
Adam Tyler, Consultant
MCSE, CSSA, ATSP
As a network consultant, Adam assists with IT support, upgrades, and backups for our clients. He is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, and brings 10 years experience to the table. Adam is a family man that is committed to excellence and exceeding customer expectations. Prior work experience in the IT and Sales industries have given him outstanding problem solving and communication skills. Since his addition to our team in June ’08, he has proven his technical abilities and taken a permanent role as part of our technical team.
Ken Yarco, Business Development Manager
Before Ken came to Resource One in May 2009, he spent 12 years in IT staffing, placing highly-skilled technical people in all manner of IT positions, on contract and full time. In addition, the final three years were spent working for Microsoft Gold Certified Partners, selling project work in the Microsoft stack of tools involving SQL Server, C# and SharePoint. Previously, he worked at IBM in Eugene as a Marketing Representative selling mid-range platforms and software solutions. Ken tirelessly strives to find the right solution for our customers, which often entails thinking ‘outside the box’. Having sold solutions for much of his career, he recognizes the value of listening to customers and providing valuable information to help facilitate optimal choices.
Mercy Tasa, Sales Assistant
Mercy has been with Resource One, Inc. since January 2005. She lends more than 12 years experience in the IT industry to the ROI team. While her main focus is maintaining and managing client accounts, she also provides support to the office staff and techs. Mercy is pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education, and in addition she and her family are active in the community and volunteering.
Matt DuPont, Office Manager
Since landing at ROI in 2006, Matt has worn many hats and is currently applying his talents to the management of our office. This includes, but is not limited to, Human Resources, Payroll, AP & AR. As a major multi-tasker, he keeps tabs on everything and ensures we are running smoothly. Matt carries over his organizational skills into his personal life keeping up with four kids and working with the music team at his church.
